Great buildings make a city. Alberta Block is an icon on Jasper Ave. and was home to CKUA radio for 60 years. However in 2014 it was vacant and run down. RedBrick Developments came to us with a vision: a mixed-use building with spaces and tenants that foster community and connection.

Working with collaborators Land Faculty, Tomnuk, and Konanz & Co. we helped shape the building's brand experience and design. The outcome along with the new mix of tenants have made ABB a hub for community in the west part of downtown.

Built in 1909, Alberta Block had a brick facade until 1953 when it received an art deco stucco facelift. Our goal with the brand, interior design, and signage was to marry a predominately midcentury aesthetic with pre-war and modern elements that nodded to the past and future of the building, making it a fixture on Jasper for years to come.
